Konami already offers a Yu-Gi-Oh! card game on mobile called Yu Gi Oh ! Duel links. This game does not offer the full-fledged TCG (Trading Card Game) experience of the original physical card game, but instead offers a scaled-down version for faster play. Well, fans are clamoring for something much closer to the original TCG, and it looks like Konami has been listed. In a new release announcement, Konami reveals that this long-awaited digital TCG is called Yu Gi Oh ! : Duel of masters, and it plans to bring the game to pretty much every platform you can think of, including mobiles.

If you’re excited to see what Yu-Gi-Oh !: Master Duel has to offer, Konami has released an explanatory trailer starring the game’s lead producer Kenichi Kataoka. He spends a little over three minutes covering additional information for Yu-Gi-Oh! : Master Duel. Basically the goal is to come out with a TCG that sticks much more to the original master rules of physical TCG. While a launch date has yet to be provided, we do know the game will be available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

Besides announcing the arrival of Master Duel on mobile, Konami also revealed a new mobile-centric title called Yu-Gi-Oh! Crossed duel. This game will feature four player card based battles, and it will only be available on Android and iOS. Sadly, this doesn’t have a release date yet, and since the details are even lighter than what has been offered for Master Duel, it looks like we should expect its launch to be more distant.

Today’s reveal also made it clear that Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links will see a new update called Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V World, coming soon to Android, iOS, and Steam versions.

Overall, Konami seems to be quite attached to their Yu-Gi-Oh! license, and I’m sure fans will be delighted to hear that the original ruleset for the original collectible card game is coming to all Yu-Gi-Oh !: Master Duel platforms. If that’s not enough to interest fans, the announcement of Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel should thrill fans with its emphasis on four-player gameplay. Heck, even longtime fans who currently play Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links has something to look forward to with the upcoming release of the ARC-V World update. So there is no doubt that it is a good day to be a Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan of TCG, that’s for sure.
