Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons came under heavy criticism for his poor Game 7 performance against the Atlanta Hawks on June 20 and has been embroiled in trade rumors ever since. He took four shots and had five points as Philadelphia was eliminated at home.
One of the biggest criticisms of Simmons, and rightly so, is that he didn’t add to his offensive play. He has an impact on the ground in terms of creating shots for others and with his elite defense, but his inability to score for himself continues to be a huge problem and it continues to be something to hold back. the Sixers.
Coach Doc Rivers mentioned that they have a plan for Simmons to improve in that regard over the summer, and it has been reported that he has been working hard since the end of the season. But no one had seen him in the gym. That was until his trainer, Chris Johnson, posted on his Instagram Story that Simmons had just completed a workout for his 25th birthday on Tuesday.

Simmons also took to Instagram for his first social media post since the end of the season. He has discussed the ups and downs of his career and he has the message that he will do anything to improve as a player.
Considering he’s only 25, there’s still time for Simmons to become the player the Sixers need. But, on the other hand, Joel Embiid’s timeline is in a win-now fashion. If the Sixers can move Simmons for a guy like Damian Lillard, for example, that would be a huge addition for Philadelphia.
