Has Shailene Woodley just confirmed that Aaron Rodgers’ breakup with the Packers is that he feels abused and disrespectful?
The Golden Globe-nominated actress is rocking football fans after retweeting a video suggesting Rodgers’ resentment towards Green Bay is about the franchise quarterback feeling disrespectful of the organization.
The video was originally shared by its author – “First Take” host and ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith.
In the clip, which aired on the show on Tuesday, Smith responded to news that Rodgers had turned down a two-year contract extension at Green Bay that would have made him the highest-paid player in the NFL.
“This is proof of what I’ve been talking about for months. It’s not about football. It’s not just about the money, ”Smith said.
“This is the way the Green Bay Packers treated their star player. They despised him, they fired him, they belittled him, they disrespected him. And he said, ‘Bump you all, enough is enough.’ “
He noted his “disgust” with “all those NFL aficionados” who “don’t understand” Rodgers’ frustrations. Among these aficionados there were even “people that we have here who work [ESPN]. “
Woodley, who recently discussed his relationship with Rodgers, did not add a personal comment. However, fans believe this is a direct clue that she feels the same as Smith, thus further speculating that her fiance does too.
Woodley’s mother Lori has apparently confirmed that when she quotes tweeted Smith’s video with “Spoken Truth”.
It remains to be seen whether or not Rodgers will show up at Green Bay training camp, where the veteran players are expected to arrive on July 27.
Rodgers broke the news of his engagement in February – however, Woodley recently revealed the couple waited “months and months” before sharing the news.
