According to FlightAware, the airline has canceled a total of 389 flights and delayed a total of 399 flights since Sunday at the time of publication. A Spirit representative told FOX Business on Monday that the cancellations and delays were due to “a series of weather and operational issues.”
“We were to proactively cancel some flights on the network, but the majority of flights are still scheduled as planned,” Spirit said in a statement. “We understand how frustrating it is for our clients when plans change unexpectedly, and we strive to find solutions. We ask customers to actively monitor their emails and flight status before going to the airport. “

Spirit passengers at Orlando International Airport told Click Orlando they had lined up until 12 p.m. to speak to a Spirit Airlines representative to reschedule after 33 flights had been canceled since Sunday.
