Camera geek Schumer saw McConnell, R-Ky., Walking over to the TV microphones on Tuesday afternoon to address the press when the New York Democrat picked up the pace and beat him up to the desk.
McConnell took the defeat in stride and began to laugh at the decision of the Senate’s top Democrat. The two leaders shared a candid moment of levity that is not too often found on Capitol Hill.
