Frank Ocean is starting a luxury business called Homer. The independent American company’s first collection will include printed silk scarves and handcrafted jewelry with 18k gold, recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel and lab-grown diamonds American. Homer products are designed in New York and handcrafted in Italy.

Ocean did the catalog cover and photography for Homer; there are also campaign footage of Tyrone Lebon (a frequent collaborator with Ocean and the director of the “Nikes” music video). A press release notes that the company name “represents the engraving of history in stone” and that Homer’s designs are inspired by “childhood obsessions” and “heritage as a fantasy.”

Frank Ocean will open a Homer jewelry store in Manhattan on Monday, August 9. The boutique is located at 70-74 Bowery and is by appointment only.

In an Instagram story, seen by Pitchfork, Ocean wrote:

Hand on my heart, this project kept my mind moving and my imagination spinning throughout it all. All my work is now dedicated to my family. All. My hope is to do things that last, that are hard to destroy, set it in stone. I’m so happy for everyone involved and I admire you and I’m proud of you and I couldn’t have done it without you. AP, Michael, Nile, Allie, Tone (happy birthday !!), Evan, Tracy, David Tommy, Juliana, Charlie, Jake, Ysham, Keisha whole house. Everyone who came to California when we had no lights, no water, no chairs, no desks and built everything from scratch with me. I want to thank you for believing in my vision and for taking part in this story from the bottom of my heart. It has been preparing for 3 years and there is so much that I am delighted to share with all of you foreigners. Love.
