Nas’ latest studio album produced by Hit Boy, Disease of King II, ditched last night loaded with starry features. But none got people talking like “EPMD 2”, which saw the Queensbridge rapper team up with Eminem.

Heck, even 50 Cent rang.

In Em’s verse, the Detroit native pays homage to some of the legends rap has lost in recent years. “RIP on DMX, Stezo, E and Nipsey / Ecstasy and Prince Markie Dee, MF DOOM I hit 50 via text / Told him I love him because I don’t even know when I’ll see him next. “Em spits.

50 seemed moved enough by the name to share the verse on social media, telling people to simply “shut up and listen”.

“No you can’t talk about this verse,” he captioned the clip. You just have to listen. Shut your mouth and listen.

Later in the verse, Em also shouts out some of the living hip-hop legends, including Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne, and is grateful to have his name next to theirs. “And my name is with the Kanes, and the Waynes, and the Jays / And the Dres, and the Yes, and the Drakes / And the J Dillas, Jadas, Cool Js, and the Ras / And amazin ‘as Nas is, and praise the gods of this / Shout out to the golden age of hip-hop and the name of this song is, ”he rapped /.

“EPMD 2” is a sequel to “EPMD” which was featured on the first The king’s disease. While Em had a standout verse, rap duo EPMD E and PMD also delivered some standout bars, and Nas wove another impressive performance, as he did on the entire album.
