The biggest feature of the update is the introduction of Orison, the landing zone floating above the giant gas planet Crusader, essentially a beautiful “city in the clouds.”

We also get new gameplay features and the introduction of the RSI Constellation Taurus spaceship variant.

  • Orison Landing Zone: Located in the atmosphere of the giant gas planet Crusader, players can now visit the Orison Landing Zone in the Stanton System. As the headquarters of shipbuilder Crusader Industries, this floating city in the clouds allows staff to live, work and relax with all the amenities and conveniences expected of the world’s most talented and skilled staff. Attractions include the Voyager Bar, various new shops and facilities, a garden, and breathtaking sunset and sunrise views. Players can visit Stormwal’s eye-catching sculpture on Orison, a tribute to the enormous space whales that live in Orison’s clouds, and even purchase a plush toy from Crusader Industries’ official mascot, Finley the Stormwal, to commemorate their visit. .
  • Volumetric Cloud Technology: Thick clouds cover the atmosphere of gas giant Crusader, animated by Star Citizen’s amazing new volumetric cloud technology. Take in the views from far and near as you drive through the walls of wispy mist surrounding Orison’s landing zone and surrounding area.
  • Missile Operator Mode: Missiles now operate through Operator Mode with a new user interface and can also be controlled by co-pilots. Other improvements to missile functionality include the selection of different types of missiles, silly fire options, and several missile fire options. The adoption of intelligent flight control system aims to make the behavior and performance of missiles even more realistic.   • Power Management: Pilots will now have unprecedented control over their ship’s performance during combat. It also draws on other multi-crew systems, laying the groundwork for scenarios in which a co-pilot may need to focus on power management during intense air combat.
  • Radar, Scan, and Ping: Players can now scan ships for information on cargo, crew, crime stats, and components. Additionally, players can now hide their ship’s signature, allowing them to avoid detection by scanners. This introduces new options for scenarios requiring stealth-focused gameplay, transport, and information gathering.
  • New Dynamic Event: Ninetails Lockdown is a brand new dynamic player-versus-player event that finds a Stanton space station blocked by the Ninetails pirates. Players must choose to break and push back the pirate blockade, or join the Ninetails hackers to take out the security forces.
  • Improved Dynamic Event: The XenoThreat Dynamic Event returns with many improvements based directly on feedback and player feedback. Join the call to arms as players collectively work to repel invaders from the Pyro system.
  • RSI Constellation Taurus: The long-awaited and long-awaited Constellation Taurus finally arrives in the verse, marking the completion of the line of ships that players affectionately refer to as “the Connie.” The Taurus is the essential vessel in a player’s journey to dominance in the freight trade in Star Citizen.
