T-Mobile raises ‘serious concerns’ at DOJ over offer to terminate old network

Antitrust officials at the US Department of Justice have said they have “serious concerns” about the plans. T-Mobile US Inc. to shut down the wireless network used by millions of Boost Mobile customers.

The ministry’s concerns were disclosed on Monday in a regulatory filing by Dish Network Corp., which bought Boost in a Justice Department-approved antitrust settlement that paved the way for T-Mobile’s takeover of Sprint Corp. Last year. T-Mobile operates the 3G network known as CDMA used by Boost.
