Harley Quinn is arguably the best dressed character in the DCEU.

Yes, I am including Diana / Wonder Woman. Her clothes are pretty, but they’re not fun.
Each of his costumes is iconic, which makes what I’m about to do very difficult … but alas, it’s a solemn task that I have a duty to undertake.
Below is my indisputable ranking of Harley costumes in Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and The suicide squad.

Lastly, we have Harley’s outfit from when she was Dr Harleen Frances Quinzel, as seen in a Suicide Squad (2016) flashback.

I even debated how to count this one, since she’s not really Harley yet, so no fun fashions have arrived. Margot Robbie looks good in anything, but it’s a big * yawn *. Next!

The following ? His prison outfit from the end of Suicide Squad (2016).

It’s not exactly fair to Harley, as this outfit wasn’t her choice. I love slippers and hair, but I have to put this one up as the last of the non-Harleen looks. No one looks good in prison gowns.

Next comes his prison outfit from the beginning of Suicide Squad (2016) …

At least we’ve got a little bit of customization here! Still, it’s way too dull for Harley, and it belongs well to the bottom of the list.

Extra points for the fact that she presumably took her pants off and twisted them into some sort of trapeze tape, but otherwise this outfit is just blah.

Coming out of Harley Prison, we then have Harley in her gold overalls for the climax of Birds of prey.

It’s basically the same outfit she wears for the most part Birds of prey, but with gold overalls on top, and I have to say … I prefer all the other iterations of this outfit better. I love the playing card vibes that triangles give, but otherwise … this one goes from campy to sticky for me.

Then we have it in the same outfit, without overalls and with a t-shirt that says “Harley Quinn” in Birds of prey.

I respect that Harley wears essentially the same outfit for most of the movie, because I change clothes too infrequently. This one is fine, but I was too sad to see the jacket go to take advantage of it.

Arriving at # 9 we have Harley’s roller deby outfit from Birds of prey.

Dots for red and black, which feel very BD Harley Quinn. I also like that she has holes in her helmet for her pigtails. However, I feel like it’s not as fun as a lot of the other outfits we’ve seen her in.

I decided to give Harley Principal the # 8 spot Suicide Squad (2016) held.

I know I know. This outfit is iconic and has spawned a million Halloween costumes. But it’s way too much influenced by the Joker for my taste, and I prefer it when Harley is more of herself. Points for makeup and hair, however !!

# 7 goes to harley’s sequined flame jacket of the very end of Birds of prey.

There’s SO MUCH going on with this jacket, but it works for Harley. It’s so much fun and that line between tacky and fun works perfectly – with the exception of the sunglasses. Sunglasses are a no on my part.

At # 6 we have the Men prefer blondes pantsuit Harley wearing in her dream / hallucination in Birds of prey.

Marilyn’s iconic “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” dress but in a pantsuit ??? BRILLIANT. Harley’s outfit is much darker than Marilyn’s, which matches her character, especially with the pink chewing gum and blue Suicide Squad in the more varied colors of Birds of prey. I also love her updated version of Marilyn’s hair.

Welcome to the top 5! At # 5 we have Harley’s outfit from the start of The suicide squad.

This one has to be in the top 5 just because it’s the closest thing Harley has brought to the comics. I love that they adopted a more comic book-inspired look for the new movie, and Harley totally does it here. It’s also so cute to see her in braids, and I’m obsessed with her jacket saying “Live the clown fast”. It’s such a big change from his “Joker-owned” jacket from the first movie.

At # 4 we have her princess dress from The suicide squad.

Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of this dress when she first put it on, but after putting on combat boots, ripping off pieces to fight and changing her hair, I was quite ready for that. It just needed a good old Harley Quinn customization!

At # 3 … we have Harley’s iconic fringe jacket outfit from Birds of prey!

Underneath, it’s the same outfit as the 10’s and 11’s – but this time it’s paired with the perfect piece. This jacket is absolutely amazing (I mean, it literally has fringes made from precautionary tape !!!), and I obsessed that Harley was wearing it just to go get a sandwich during a hangover.

At # 2 – and it was tough – I decided to put Harley’s gold and black dress from the flashback in Suicide Squad (2016) when she was hanging out with the Joker at a club.

This is one of my favorite Harley outfits, and it’s a shame we didn’t get a better look at it. The hair, the jewelry, the dress, the makeup … everything is perfect. It seems very influenced by the Joker, but it’s not as bad as its main one Suicide Squad (2016) outfit, where she has much more direct references to the Joker.

And finally, what you’ve all been waiting for … Harley outfit # 1 is … drum roll please … her club outfit Birds of prey!

Harley knows how to clubbing. The hair, the makeup, the pants, the jacket … I’m absolutely obsessed with this whole outfit. It shouldn’t work, and yet it does. And the glitter on the eyebrow … I only live for this whole look. Harley, I need your closet.
