Big Thief is back with two new songs. “Little Things” was recorded in October 2020 in Topanga, California. “Sparrow” was recorded last summer in the Catskills. Both were produced by group drummer James Krivchenia. Listen to the two songs below.
Krivchenia explained that the shared version of “Sparrow” is the band’s first take to record it. “We all dispersed around the room without headphones, focused and in the music, you could feel that something special was happening,” he said in a statement.
This is their first new music since the release of Two hands released “Love in Mine” last year. Their latest albums UFOF and Two hands were both released in 2019.
On Friday, September 10, Big Thief will perform at the 2021 Pitchfork Music Festival at Union Park in Chicago, Illinois. Tickets are on sale now.
