For a game that has “Sky” in its name (and highlights giant fire-breathing monsters with wings), Skyrim don’t spend a lot of time in the sky. Not anymore. As spotted by PCGamesN, fearless modders have introduced a glider to Bethesda’s sprawling role-playing game.
“Skyrim paraglider”, Developed by modders LokiWasTaken and NickNak, is more or less a facsimile of the famous glider from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In Nintendo’s open-world game of 2017, Link could pull out his paraglider and just… sail in the open air, as if he had roused the wind from a nap or something. Like BotW, Skyrim also has a ton of cliffs, boulders, cliffs, mountains, and great outdoors, as well as a great emphasis on the wind. Adding the mechanic to Skyrim seems, in retrospect, like a no-brainer.

The add-on is currently available on Nexus Mods, but there are a few prerequisites to keep in mind. On the one hand, you need the Skyrim script extension, plus his compatible address library. You will also need the Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine, and you will need to make sure that the paraglider comes last in the engine priority list.
OK, is everything ready? Once you install the mod, you still have to work hard to find it in the game.
First, start in Falkreath. Head east until you come to a fork. You should see a guy fall from the sky. On his corpse you will find a newspaper. Read it. Then go left at the fork, right at the next fork, right at the fork after that (past the stream), and follow the path up the mountain. You’ll know you’re on the right course if your surroundings get a little snowier. Turn right at the first crossroads and follow the path until you reach another crossroads, at which point you have to turn right. You will see wooden steps. At the top, in a wooden pavilion with a fire not recommended in the center, you will find the glider.

“Skyrim’s Paraglider” is currently not compatible with the game’s first person view, but its creators say that option will hopefully be available in a future release.
