Idris Elba to play Knuckles in “Sonic the Hedgehog 2”

Well we knew the next one Sonic the hedgehog The movie would include Knuckles, but we have to admit that never in our wildest dreams did we think Idris Elba would express the Red Echidna. However, here we are with the famous actor who announces Tuesday that he has been chosen for the role.

This is all yet another surprising development in one of the most unusual Hollywood success stories in recent memory. After a nightmarish first trailer, we were pretty sure the premiere Sonic the hedgehog would be a real shipwreck. And yet, it turned out to be decent and was one of the last box office hits before the pandemic shut down theaters around the world. None of this is to say the series will catch lightning twice in the bottle. After all, Elba burned off some of his goodwill, attaching his name to projects like Cats. However, at the very least, we’re curious to see how this one turns out.
