A federal judge ruled that former President Donald Trump’s accountants must turn over the equivalent of two years of his tax and financial records to a House committee tasked with determining whether Trump and his companies profited from his service to the White House.

U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta approved a subpoena from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for Trump’s cases spanning 2017 and 2018, but dismissed most of the panel’s requests for similar information dating back to 2011.

The decision is subject to appeal by Trump’s lawyers and could also be challenged by the House panel.
