A day after releasing it to developers, Apple is today releasing the latest beta of iOS 15 for public beta testers. Apple calls it iOS 15 Public Beta 5, and it includes a new Weather app icon, App Store adjustments, and more.
If you want to sign up for Apple’s public beta testing program, you can do so through Apple’s website here. The new version of Apple’s software won’t be complete until the fall, when it will be released to the public. Testers should still expect performance and stability issues when running the iOS 15 Public Beta on major devices for now.
The build number for the latest public beta of iOS 15 is 19A5318f.
Apple cautions against running the public beta of iOS 15:
The Apple Beta software program allows users to try out pre-release software. The quality and usability feedback you provide helps us identify issues, resolve them, and make Apple software even better. Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not perform as well as the released software. Make sure to back up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and your Mac using Time Machine before installing the beta software.
