Brendan Fraser was visibly moved after learning that fans on social media are rooting for his comeback to Hollywood.
TikTok cosplayer @LittleLottieCosplay recently had a virtual encounter with the actor who went viral with over a million views and counting, TheWrap.com reported on Tuesday.
In the video, the 52-year-old revealed he is preparing for his next project, “Killers of the Flower Moon”. The crime drama, directed by Martin Scorsese, will also star Oscar winners Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.
“I’m going to be working with Scorsese and Leo (DiCaprio) and Bob De Niro,” Fraser said.
“I think I might be sick, I’m a little anxious,” he shared, mimicking his fingernails nervously.

However, the fan told Fraser he “got it”.
“The Internet is so behind you! She assured him. “We support you so much. There are so many people out there who love you, and we support you, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.”
Fraser, visibly choked by the statement, drank a glass of water, fighting back tears.
“Shucks, ma’am,” Fraser said, tilting her hat in gratitude.

The outlet noted that Fraser is gaining more and more followers on social media. In 2018, he admitted to feeling blacklisted after accusing former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Philip Berk of sexual assault in 2003.

Once the request was made public, the HFPA promised to launch an investigation.
“The HFPA strongly opposes sexual harassment and the type of behavior described in this article,” read their statement, quoted by the outlet. “Over the years, we have maintained a positive working relationship with Brendan, which includes announcing Golden Globe nominees, attending the ceremony and attending press conferences. This report includes suspected information including the HFPA was not previously aware and at this time we are investigating further details of the incident. “

While Berk denied the claim to the outlet, the organization apologized to Fraser.
After the incident, Fraser was absent from the big screen for more than a decade. However, the star has been busy in recent years with FX’s “Trust”. Entertainment Weekly noted that he appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s 2021 film “No Sudden Move” and was cast for a new film by acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky called “The Whale.”
According to the outlet, “Killers of the Flower Moon” began production in late April 2021 and is expected to run all summer.
