Garoppolo also knocked down full-back Kyle Juszczyk on the straight sideline while facing pressure from the defense. “He should have been picked by K’Waun Williams as well, but Dr. Greenlaw arrived hot, didn’t see him and knocked him out,” Jake Hutchinson wrote. (KNBR)

At the end of the training, cornerback Jason Verrett intercepted a “horrible” pass from Garoppolo intended for Samuel. (KNBR) It was Garoppolo’s second interception of the day. (Bay Area News Group)

Lance appears to be building up some good chemistry with Trent Sherfield, connecting to the wide receiver several times today, including once under pressure from three defensemen.

“He’s in the right place at the right time,” Lance said of Sherfield after practice. “He’s not cracking up. He’s on a mission all the time, and he’s just the type of guy who comes in first and comes out last.”

Hutchinson seemed very impressed with Lance’s exit, writing: “Honestly, most of Lance’s throws – with the exception of a knocked down ball, almost intercepted on a play that had already died of a sack – were flawless. . He looked, and maybe for the first time in a few practices, like the best quarterback on the team. ” However, he notes that Lance works primarily with and against Second Team units. (KNBR)

“I was really excited to see Huff play,” said defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans. “It was a great game. I was excited for him to play this game and keep building his confidence. He gets better day by day.… A really smart guy. He does a great job and he gets better every day. day, so I was excited. I think I jumped with him when he played this game. I was very excited to see that. “

Linebacker Jonas Griffith delivered a “strong pop” on George Kittle, pushing the tight end out of bounds. “The most physical training moment so far. Griffith is definitely coming. I predict he will at least be on the training squad,” wrote David Lombardi. (Athleticism)

Regarding physical training camp and getting some big punches, Kittle said, “I’m just getting ready for football then.… I’m pretty sure whoever hit me is ‘was found on the ground, and I was still standing, so he is what it is. “

It looked like linebacker Dre Greenlaw had the third interception of the day, coming back with Garoppolo’s sloped pass. (Bay Area News Group) Although there is some debate about the play. He would have been judged as a bag, which would eliminate the choice.

Defensive linemen DJ Jones and Jordan Willis each had potential sacks. (KNBR)

Jalen Hurd was in eight games during team drills, but was never targeted. Rookie cornerback Ambry Thomas received an ear from veteran Tavon Wilson on the sidelines after failing to touch wide receiver River Cracraft. Cracraft stood up and continued play, collecting a 35-yard pass from quarterback Nate Sudfeld. Tight end Jordan Matthews had a “bad fall” on a well-thrown pass from Rosen.
