The Brooklyn father, whose 19-month-old son was mutilated to death by the family’s Rottweiler, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with criminally negligent homicide, police said.

Authorities say toddler Ryan was attacked by the dog around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment on East 17th Street in Flatbush. Investigators believe Foster left the child alone with two older brothers, Jayden, 11, and Tale, 9, to go to work.

The Rottweiler, named Buster, left Ryan bleeding profusely from neck and shoulder bites, police said. The boy was pronounced dead at Maimonides Hospital.

Video obtained by The Post shows the two older siblings fleeing the building and frantically asking passers-by for help. Their mother, Susan Hyre – who is estranged from Foster – said the brothers were traumatized by the death of their younger brother.

“Basically they fell asleep crying,” she said. “Tale” shares a room with Ryan and Jayden has his own room. Tale ‘doesn’t want to sleep in the room where Ryan was sleeping. He literally sleeps in the same bed as his brother. They don’t want to leave each other.

Hyre told the Post that Buster was a “watchdog” that originally belonged to Foster’s parents and bit Jayden two years ago.

The dog was taken away by Animal Care and Control. The investigation is ongoing.
