Miles Fidelman is not happy. No, he’s not happy at all.
“This idea that the entire Galaxy Note range is disappearing? It’s just crazy, ”says the 67-year-old system architect, who has bought Galaxy Note smartphones over the past decade.
I try to reassure and comfort Mr. Fidelman at this difficult time. “It’s going to be okay. The Galaxy Note lives on forever, in every smartphone, in every tablet, in every heart,” I tell him. But he and a lot of other Galaxy Note fans don’t have it.
Samsung stopped before calling the Note’s death time. But there is reason to believe that his days are over. At the late-summer event where the company typically unveils its new Galaxy Note models on Wednesday, it instead showcased two new foldable phones, the Z Flip3 5G and the Z Fold3.
The Fold, which starts at $ 1,800 and has a 7.6-inch screen that opens like a book, supports Samsung’s styluses, the S Pen. The $ 50 S Pen Fold edition and the $ 100 S Pen Pro will be sold separately.
