Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favorite pastime for many fans, perhaps right after watching the games. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors produced by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: rumors are just that – rumors. None of this has been confirmed as a fact, it is just circulating in the professional wrestling rumor mill. We track the accuracy of rumors in a weekly article called Rumor Look Back which you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors of the day:

  • Triple H was still in charge of NXT on Tuesday night, according to PW Insider. The site also noted that Pat Buck took over Drake Wuertz’s old job booking local and independent wrestlers for WWE shows, and Molly Holly is still working as a lead producer on a trial basis.
  • According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE’s decision not to sign Wheeler Yuta, who currently works at AEW, shocked several NXT talent and was seen as a clear sign that the company’s hiring practices were changing.
  • Wrestling Votes tweeted that tensions were “to say the least” behind the scenes ahead of this week’s NXT.
  • Ember Moon was removed from her announced match on this week’s NXT because she was not medically cleared, but a source at PW Insider, whatever the issue, was “not serious.”
  • A source close to Max Caster told us that the rumors of Caster being suspended by AEW without pay are “absolutely” not true.
