The Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy this offseason and Rob Pelinka deserves credit for what he has been able to do. Russell Westbrook’s trading thoughts aside, Pelinka was very financially constrained and still put together a complete and better than expected list.
Even without the Westbrook trade, the Lakers would have been in the same boat, so the free agent signings would have been mostly the same. Westbrook or Buddy Hield, the moves Pelinka made in free agency should be applauded.
There is still room to add to the list, however. As it stands, the Lakers have 12 players on the roster. The squad will likely stay under 15 to make way for a buyout signing during the season, meaning there are two players left to sign.
It seems a given that Jared Dudley will get a spot on the roster just because of his presence in the locker room, which is good. This is the other place on the list that interests us.
