I understand that you want these people to suffer consequences or have a cathartic moment that will make you say “YES !!” – but the series does not want to “redeem” these characters by giving them a suddenly developed consciousness, or by punishing them. It’s like that 🤷🏻♀️ #TheWhiteLotus

Watching #TheWhiteLotus was thrilling and filled me with dread. Terribly rich people who have everything making terrible decisions while being blind to the suffering of everyone around them. But it’s over. Phew! Now I can relax and continue living in Los Angeles, where … oh my God.
I think…? Am I going to miss the show? It’s not the easiest thing to watch, but it was a fascinating (and often heartbreaking) study of the types of characters that inhabit this world.
