The first landmarks of the Galaxy S10 have arrived!
Well, technically, we have the S10 + to test, but with identical hardware under the hood, we would imagine that these results would be representative of both models.
The version we have on hand is international and therefore powered by the Exynos 9 9820 chipset. This means that the S10 + reference results below may differ slightly from those offered by the Snapdragon 855 powered by the US, but we generally expect both models to offer nearly identical performance.
We performed some common performance tests, including AnTuTu (system), Geekbench 4 (CPU), GFXBench (graphics) and JetStream (web), to test different aspects of the system. We found that this new Galaxy flagship product was a significant improvement over its predecessor (S9 and note 9). In addition, the new S10 phones are probably the fastest Android phones right now!
CPU benchmark
As for multicore performance, the difference is not so big, but the S10 + is still ahead of the Android competition. The A12 Bionic processor Apple iPhone XS remains inaccessible for the moment.
Graphic Benchmark
Now let's take a look at graphical performance, which is by far the most important indicator for gamers. For this, we examine the scores of GFXBench. The Manhattan 3.1 test was very demanding, but these days we are starting to see the best Android flagship products almost to the max. This is indeed the case with the GPU MP12 S10 + and Mali-G76 which is part of the Exynos 9 package. It manages to reach an average of 57 frames per second, which is good enough and can rarely be achieved by from other Android phones.
The most recent and most demanding test is Car Chase, which really manages to push graphics units on these phones. We are pleased to see a bigger difference between the Galaxy S10 + and the competition, which means that significant progress has been made in terms of graphics power. Unfortunately, the Car Chase test is not available on the iPhone for any reason, but we would have imagined it would be between 50 and 60 fps on the Apple platform.
