Bungie, the creator of Halo franchise and the developer of Destiny 2, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Its story includes three games in the Marathon franchise, two Myth games five Halo exits, and now two destiny titles, with sixteen major releases in total. It looks like Bungie is holding back from the 30th anniversary festivities, however, as it has big plans for later this year. A leaker now claims to have knowledge of these plans, including an important one Halo crossing.

Leaker Wish has shared information about the upcoming Destiny 2 plans for Bungie’s 30th anniversary on Twitter. It is not known if Wish has removed the recent leak. Destiny 2 “Zoom Leak” or if they have inside information on the matter. Either way, Wish says they expect a Halo– thematic program which will be released on December 30th. This mission, they say, will take place on the original space station. Halo Game.

The partnership is surprising, if only because Bungie is not officially a partner with Haloowner of the intellectual property of, Microsoft, in any capacity. To have such a significant crossover would certainly require a serious deal between Bungie and Microsoft. That Microsoft seems willing to allow Bungie to not just present Halo content, but to present a playable set Halo mission, is something else entirely. If the leak is true, there is clearly still a lot of respect between Microsoft and Bungie.

Regarding the supposed source of this leak, the massive Bungie “Zoom Leak”, there is more to be expected Halo content to be introduced in Destiny 2 beyond a visit to a Halo installation. In fact, there is also supposed to be a second Halo mission too. And beyond that there could also be up to four Halo weapons introduced in Destiny 2, as good as Halo armor sets for everyone Destiny 2 to classify.

Without official confirmation, these leaks should only be considered rumors until proven guilty. Even if they are correct now, the plans could also change by December. That said, it’s an exciting possibility for Destiny 2 players and Halo fans alike.

Bungie has big plans for Destiny 2 in the future, plans that will last for years to come. Still, the studio’s 30th anniversary is too good an opportunity for the company to press pause and reflect on what happened before. Halo and its fans have helped make Bungie the company it is today, and it’s exciting that Bungie can have the opportunity to celebrate this with their current fans in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
