Bungie sues three other Destiny 2 cheat and hack makers

Bungie’s legal war on distribution companies Destiny 2 cheat codes increased last week with new copyright infringement lawsuits filed against Elite Boss Tech, Lavicheats and VeteranCheats.

Bungie has been craving it ever since destiny cheat facilitators. Over the past year, the developer has set a goal of Perfect goal, teamed up with Riot against Gatorcheats, and went with Ubisoft in a lawsuit against Ring cheater-1. Now, Bungie is doubling down with the trio of new claims, each filed on August 18, each targeting a different vendor of cheats that are ruining the game.

First we have his lawsuit against Elite Boss Tech, the company behind the popular cheat website Wallhax. Although not currently listed on the website, the Wallhax Destiny 2 cheat provides the standard combination of an aimbot, which helps players target enemies with ridiculous precision, and an ESP hack, which allows players to see enemies anywhere, including from cover or through the map.

In addition to piracy and cheating, Bungie alleges that Elite Boss Tech and its various related entities used the game creator’s copyrighted material to produce advertisements for their services, while using illegal copies. Bungie’s software to create the “hooks” that cheaters use to bypass Destiny 2‘s anti-cheating measures. Bungie is seeking an injunction against Elite Boss Tech, destruction of all cheat software and damages.

The second trial targets Kunsal “Lavi” Bansal, the owner of Lavicheats, which offers cheat services and software for use in various games. Again, his Destiny 2 cheats are aimbots and ESP hacks. Bungie is asking for similar remedies.

Finally, Bungie tackles the the people who run Veterancheats.com to sell cheats such as aimbots, infinite ammo, infinite health, and good old ESP.

Now is not a good time to be a business that sells Destiny 2 hacks, it seems. If your career plan is to help the Guardians fight their way through Bungie’s sci-fi epic, it’s not too late to change lanes. For starters, maybe try not to be an asshole.
