Here’s something no one saw coming to CinemaCon, unless you can decipher the three-hour block Sony set aside for its presentation: The studio surprised those who braved Las Vegas’ mid-pandemic confab this evening with a screening by Jason Reitman Ghostbusters: the afterlife.
The photo will hit theaters on Veterans Day, November 11. In the sequel to Bill Murray-Harold Ramis-Dan Aykroyd’s classic 1984 action comedy, a single mother and her two children arrive in a small town. Producer Ivan Reitman, who directed the original photo and its 1989 sequel, introduced himself with his son Jason Reitman, who directed and wrote this one.
