A group of South Florida doctors walked out of their hospitals on Monday to protest the surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations among the unvaccinated.

Doctors came out just before sunrise in an effort to encourage residents to get their COVID-19 shots, saying they were tired of working so hard in the last wave.

“We are exhausted. Our patience and resources are running out and we need your help, ”Dr. Rupesh Dharia of Palm Beach Internal Medicine told NBC 8.

The outbreak in Florida, consisting primarily of the most infectious Delta variant, has become one of the worst in the country.
