Nah He Tweakin Meme sparked by Lil Nas X and Tony Hawk controversy

A feud between Lil Nas X and skateboarder Tony Hawk sparked a bizarre meme that has since gone viral on Instagram.

The controversy stems from a collaboration between Hawk and beverage company Liquid Death released this week, which included a skateboard painted using actual Hawk blood. The limited edition boards have since sold out.

Lil Nas X took to Twitter to comment on the similarities between his previous one on Wednesday Nike Air Max 97 “Satan Shoes”, which contained a drop of human blood, and the recent launch of Hawk. The artist’s controversial shoe sparked a conservative backlash and even led to a lawsuit between Nike and Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X then took to Instagram to express his feelings about Hawk’s blood-infused charts, commenting on a news article posted on the RapTV feed.

“You all fall for it! RapTV asked in a caption next to his post.

“No, he’s tweakin ‘,” Lil Nas X replied in the comments, triggering a meme that has since taken over Instagram. His original comment has garnered nearly 35,000 likes so far, and has led dozens of people to comment on other popular Instagram posts with the phrase “no, he’s tweakin ‘.”

Additionally, some of Hawk’s more recent posts have been inundated with commentators perpetuating the meme’s response.

Neither Hawk nor Lil Nas X responded directly to the meme’s proliferation.

In a tweet Wednesday night, Instagram acknowledged the meme.

In other news, Lil Nas X will be responsible for the impact of Taco Bell.
