Erika Jayne owes her ex-husband’s law firm $ 25 million, according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Aug. 26 and obtained by E! New.
The trustee behind the Girardi Keese bankruptcy case sued the Real housewives from Beverly Hills star, 50, for more than $ 25.5 million plus interest, after Erika allegedly paid for her “extravagant lifestyle” using firm funds.
“Glam cannot be backed by a sham”, administrator Elissa miller states in the first amended complaint.
Erika, along with her companies EJ Global and Pretty Mess, reportedly received jewelry and other luxury items purchased with funds from Tom girardiof the company Girardi Keese.
“Erika took the ridiculous position that, since she did not receive the payments directly from the [firm] she is not responsible, “says the lawsuit.
He continues, “She tries to create a distinction between handing over her money directly and paying all of her bills directly. The distinction, like her previous request for reconsideration, is without merit. All payments made to her benefit are her responsibility.”
According to the lawsuit, $ 14 million was billed to his American Express card and an additional $ 11 million was paid to merchants.
