USA TODAY film critic Brian Truitt predicts who will win an Oscar this year and who deserves it.

HOLLYWOOD – Amy Poehler has a golden rule for the Oscars.
"If one of us falls, the others must also do it," she cracked during the rehearsals on Saturday, putting into practice her presentation time alongside her friends Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph. The three women had not fallen into their heads: each pair of jeans with what appeared to be the heels they will wear at the 91st Academy Awards (ABC, Sunday, 8 ET / PT) and S & P Would lead to cross the stage of Dolby Theater.
In front of a room with siege placards, producers, and Academy staff, Fey read his first line. "Good evening and welcome to the millionth Academy Awards!", Fey told the mic for a laugh, plunging into a joke that there were no guests. (Oh, and she's giving a USA TODAY joke you should not miss.)
Then Rudolph opened the white envelope of his rehearsal: "And the Oscar goes to … Amy Poehler!" She proclaimed, under a false shock.

Every 15 minutes or so, another celebrity couple went up on the stage, highlighted with gold and bathed in Swarovski crystals, to train and distribute fake Oscars to replacements.
Of course, it's a routine for some. But no one was too cool when an adorable baby arrived (especially a famous baby). Dolby almost melted on her cute side when Serena Williams came on stage holding the hand of her youngest daughter, Alexis Olympia, 17 months old.
Attention Academy: Little Alexis, dressed in a pink sweater with sparks that rose to the sides, was no longer afraid of the scene. The toto confidently grabbed the big microphone in front of his mother as Williams laughed before taking her in his arms and placing the child on her hip.
Without a baby, Williams practiced his lines twice, with Alexis watching as he moved away. Before continuing with their happy Saturday, Williams' daughter took center stage watching the audience – and began to applaud. The whole room full of tired production people in battle could not help but laugh and follow.
That's the thing about the Oscars rehearsals. They are discreet, but impossible to classify. The stars come in different forms of sports and baseball caps (like Angela Bassett, who has paired her Adidas tracksuit with killer Stiletto mules). Daniel Craig had this new dad glow of pure exhaustion. Charlize Theron had fresh air, taking the stage in jeans and a fedora.
Brie Larson, who will be accompanied by his co-star of "Captain Marvel", Samuel L. Jackson, will not be disappointed with the experience. The star without makeup, who donned the black corduroy scene, a bomber jacket and studded boots, immediately searched for her seat sign, glowing when she saw it in the audience. "I'm right in front of Serena! Daaang"Is she exclaimed to Jackson.
Frankly, no star could stand up to checking the map of places in front of her. Bassett spotted his seat in front of Javier Bardem, his co-presenter. "Here I am! Up here!" Bardem Plaisanta, well shaved, pointing out the cheapest seats on the balcony.
What did we learn from each other?
Mike Myers and Dana Carvey prepare a highlight of Beavis and Butt-Head during the show. ("Just surprise me tomorrow," said Carvey when Myers expressed his point of view.) And some stars still play for fun. James McAvoy hammered it, started dancing on stage and used a water bottle to replace an Oscar in gold, while Williams finished with his readings of lines, pulled off the stage dramatically .
