Heavy rainy days in northern and central Alabama have caused flooding in parts of Alabama.
The high waters forced the evacuation of some people from their homes at Muscle Shoals, Sheffield and Tuscumbia in Colbert County, which suffered greatly.

Floods of the Tennessee River
The Tennessee River is flood-level in Whitesburg and Florence in Alabama or above, and further north in Savannah, Clifton, and Perryville, Tennessee. A major flood of the river, probably among the highest levels in recent decades, is expected in northern Alabama and under the Pickwick Dam from Savannah to Johnsonville, Tennessee, the Tennessee Valley Authority announced.
