Recap and highlights: Gonzaga # 2 hits BYU at a senior party

Josh Perkins scored 21 points and seven assists on Senior Night, while No. 2 Gonzaga defeated BYU on Saturday at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Zach Norvell Jr. led the Bulldogs (27-2, 14-0 at the WCC) with 25 points, while Rui Hachimura had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

TJ Haws and Yoeli Childs paced BYU (18-12, 10-5) with 18 points each.

The Bulldogs shot 54.5% of the ground and 45% of the deepest, while the Cougars shot 41.9% in total and 38.1% of the distance of 3 points. Gonzaga also made 21 of 27 free throws, while BYU attempted to throw 13 shots on goal.

GU exceeded the BYU 40-31 and outstripped the Cougars 46-30 in the painting.

Gonzaga finishes the season with a 17-0 record at home.
