American companies of all sizes have enacted vaccine requirements for their employees in recent weeks. They find that it is easier to establish a policy than to implement it.

Questions and complications arise as employees and managers apply the new rules to once-routine business activities such as travel, trade shows, office socializing and interactions with suppliers and customers, executives say.
