MOBILE, Alaska (WALA) – Two people, including a seven-year-old, were injured during a shootout in downtown Mobile Mobile on Saturday night following the Mardi Gras parade.
The police arrested Isiah Carl, 17 years old. He is charged with two counts of assault and several other charges.
The mobile police confirmed to FOX10 News that the weapon used in the shooting had been stolen.
While Carl was taken to Metro Prison, FOX10 News reporter Tyler Fingert asked him if he wanted to say anything. He shook his head.
Witnesses told FOX10 News that the shots were fired around 9 pm near Government Street and Dearborn Street.
Mobile Fire-Rescue said it treated two people with gunshots. Police said the seven-year-old girl was injured in her leg. The child was taken to the University Hospital with injuries not putting his life in danger.
The second victim is a 17-year-old man. Mobile Fire-Rescue said that the teenager's arm had been hit by a bullet and that he had been treated on the scene.
A video sent to FOX10 News shows the moments when the shots were fired. The video shows several people eating out in a restaurant and jumping to the ground when several shots are fired.
