Halo, Gears of War, Cuphead and more on Nintendo Switch

According to a new report, not only will the Xbox Game Pass arrive on Nintendo Switch, but some of the largest franchises and earlier versions of Microsoft will also be released directly to the system.

The French site Jeuxvideo is the latest to confirm that Nintendo and Xbox are joining the trend this year, after Game Informer and Direct-Feed Games. However, the French website also provides additional details on the implications of the collaboration.

According to Jeuxvideo, not only does the Xbox Game Pass arrive on the system, but Microsoft will release some of its proprietary games directly to the hybrid console. It was something that Direct-Feed Games initially reported, but it only took note of Ori and the blind forest.

If we believe the new report from Jeuxvideo, alongside Ori and the blind forest, the other first game coming in the system will be Cup, The independent success of StudioMDHR 2017. In addition, apparently, Microsoft plans to bring some of its largest franchises – Forza, Armament of war, or Halo – on the Nintendo switch, or at least is in discussion with Nintendo about it.

Jeuxvideo also notes that it is particularly interesting to integrate Rare games to the story of Nintendo and the developer. In addition, the point of sale notes that none of its sources have mentioned Scalebound, which, according to a recent rumor, has been resurrected as an exclusive Nintendo Switch.

Of course, as always, all this should be taken with a grain of salt. We are in the news and weeding the weeds right now, and who knows what is true and what is inaccurate or just invented. That said, as the saying goes: where there is smoke, there is fire and there is a lot of smoke at this stage.

It seems more likely than unlikely that Microsoft brings the Xbox Game Pass to Nintendo Switch, and perhaps even some of its smaller proprietary titles. But will we see the biggest Xbox franchises, such as Halo, on the system behind Game Pass? That, I'm not so sure.
