Last year, the five-time world champion was committed to becoming a "different athlete" after the F1 team committed to introducing a minimum driver weight of 80 kg, separate from the car.
This allowed drivers to break free from extreme diets and strengthen their physical strength, with Hamilton gaining several pounds of muscle mass.
"I'm still in the limelight, so I'm fine," Hamilton said when asked about his condition by Motorsport.com.
"Every year, the fundamentals are the same, trying to achieve a similar goal each year. Raising this obstacle and deepening the other elements of the training is an exciting challenge.
"Every year, when you resume your training, it's painful. But trying different methods – I've worked with several different people for once – and trying different things over the weeks was exciting.
"And I can take it all year long. Rooted, fundamental, I feel stronger than it has been for a long time. "
The Mercedes pilot has tried various disciplines over the winter, from surfing to martial arts, and has worked with different athletes and coaches, including a vegan for life.
Hamilton said the result was that he had arrived in Barcelona for pre-season testing last week with a still fluctuating weight.
"Body fat is going down, which is great, and you're targeting a more defined and effective muscle," he said.
"I'm not trying to be the Hulk. Naturally, it takes a lot of time to put on muscle and the right way. It's great to eat as much as I want and larger portions.
"I'm in the car two [on Monday] and I put a lot of weight on it. Then he came down again, [Wednesday] Morning]I went down a few more pounds. This will fluctuate in the coming weeks.
"I benefit more than ever from the training. If you make things fun, introduce different things and do different things, that's what I'm trying to do. "
Hamilton opted for a plant-based diet two years ago, to which he had already underestimated his help for the consecutive victory in 2017 and 2018.
He added that the new rules on weight will now involve a better balance for all drivers.
"We had to have some weight, each of us, the drivers, and it's not particularly great," he said. "We must miss meals and all these different things to try to reach the appropriate weight limit.
"It's better for pilots. You can be in a healthier state and I really feel in a healthier state than in the last 12 years.
"Just because you can eat more and sleep better, you have more energy, so I'm really happier."
