Here is the rescue Alfa Romeo 8C which should be your next car project

It is a little traumatic to see the magnificent Alfa Romeo 8C in such a state. It is obvious that this car has fallen as a result of an error on the part of someone, but before that, the Italian 8,000 miles had been well maintained. It's unclear exactly how the car crashed, but it's all about superficial damage that could probably be repaired by a reasonably-wise mechanic with very little elbow grease.

This Alfa needs a bumper, maybe a fender, probably a lighthouse and some paint work. Certainly, these pieces are rare and will not be cheap, but hey, it starts and works like new, and you'll have an 8C for a fraction of the cost of a suit.

Conversely, as this car will have a life-saving title for the rest of its life, this is an ideal opportunity to embark on a frantic race and build something really crazy. With a V8 coming from Ferrari sources at the front and a longitudinal layout in FR, this powertrain would be the perfect complement to any hot rod built at home. I would really like to jolt people and build a Maserati Birdcage-style track car with this engine in the center of it. It looks very amusing.

With about 450 horsepower, the engine would tear just about anything you would do, but an old-fashioned 8C-powered lattice-frame tracked car would have Jagger-like motions.

The smart money is on this car being repaired in the short term and returns to the air-conditioned collection of some fortunate. The repair will always be considered a defect, but you will not have to talk to everyone about it.
