Himes: the Mueller report must be made public for the closing

Democrats have called for Mueller's report on his investigation into possible complicity between Russia and President Donald Trump's campaign in 2016, once it has been finalized.

On Friday, six House Democratic Committee presidents in a letter urged Attorney General William Barr to release Mueller's report once it was completed. They also requested that all parts of the report that are redacted be submitted to Congress and the Ministry of Justice to explain the redactions.

Himes added that the committee would only begin impeachment talks after the report is released.

"If this truth indicates that President Trump has committed no crime, that it is flawless or otherwise, that it be so," he told the facilitator Chuck Todd. "If that says that he did, the world is a lot more complicated.

When asked if bipartite cooperation within the intelligence committee had changed since the arrival of California Democrat Adam Schiff, Himes criticized former president Devin Nunes, who had several times criticized the Mueller probe.
