Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return to the UK could come sooner than expected and it could be quite a media spectacle if it did. There is one person whose approval depends on the entire American family (yes, including Archie and Lilibet) making the trip overseas: Queen Elizabeth.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to introduce the Queen to her great-granddaughter in what The Sun calls an ‘olive branch’ moment. The couple want to have their daughter baptized soon and hope that will happen at Windsor Castle. This might normally be an easy request for a senior royal member, but the duo have long shied away from such family duties as they have created new life in the United States. And of course, the ongoing feud is still at a boiling point – it’s barely simmering.

Understandably, royal insiders are appalled at the alleged request. “Harry and Meghan made this offer, but a lot of people are shocked at the nerve of it,” the source said. “They may really want to see the Queen, but it’s breathtaking considering what they’ve done to her this year.” But it’s not like the royals aren’t thinking about Harry and Meghan – they might extend a Christmas invitation to the couple, according to The Sun. And we know that despite all the overwhelming moves on either side, there seems to be an interest in finding a way to put this publicly played chaos behind them. “The Queen is still very fond of Harry and would love to see Lilibet and his brother Archie,” the royal interior explained.

Harry has already been home twice this year – once for Prince Philip’s funeral and once for the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue. There was little movement to settle the feud over these two visits, but bringing the kids with them could unite them in a way they never imagined, especially when Lilibet shares the sweet nickname of his great -Grandmother.
