Three Vermont state soldiers have resigned following an investigation into an alleged fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination card program, Vermont state police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Driving the news: The former soldiers are believed to have created fake COVID-19 vaccination cards, the statement said.

Details: Two of the officers, Shawn Sommers and Raymond Witkowski, tendered their resignations last month, August 10.
What they say : “[It] It is reprehensible that state soldiers manipulate vaccination cards in the midst of a pandemic, when getting vaccinated is one of the most important steps one can take to protect one’s community from COVID-19 ” said Vermont Police Director Col. Matthew. Birmingham.
