Marvel just rolled out a complete overhaul of its groundbreaking Marvel Unlimited reading app this morning, but it’s more than just a redesign. The Marvel Unlimited subscription service will now host Infinity Comics, an exclusive line of Marvel comic book series following on from the company’s top creators.
27 Infinity Comics are already available on Marvel Unlimited, with plans to release more than 100 by the end of 2021, including X-Men unlimited, Little giant wonders, Captain America, This is jeff, Black Widow, Amazing fantasy, dead Pool, Shang-Chi, and Venom / Carnage. Each issue is featured as a vertical scroll running on comic book platforms designed for phones and tablets, and the show’s creators include Jonathan Hickman, Declan Shalvey, Skottie Young, Dax Gordine, Alyssa Wong, Nathan Stockman, Kelly Thompson, Gerry Duggan, Lucas Werneck and Jeffo, according to the Marvel press release.
Marvel Unlimited will also continue to play its role as Marvel’s back catalog library, with approximately more than 29,000 issues available over the last 80 years of the company’s history. With the new update, subscribers will now be able to download as many issues as they want for offline reading, an increase from a maximum of six issues.
