It turns out that the Seattle Seahawks have settled the contractual situations of their three latecomers this year.
Quandre Diggs now has a restructured deal, including more guarantees – similar to how the Duane Brown contract changed.
It also frees up even more ceiling space for Seattle.
The Seahawks converted Quandre Diggs’ $ 100,000 per game bonus into salary and accelerated $ 5.05 million of his salary as a signing bonus while adding an empty year, per source.
After resisting for much of the camp, Diggs receives additional injury protection, Seattle gets ceiling space.

It is a significant sum which was transferred in advance as a sort of injury guarantee for Diggs.
Both he and Brown’s movements were fairly calm at the time, as the players simply returned to practice without fanfare.
Pro Bowl security has said on several occasions how blessed it is to be in Seattle, and it’s undoubtedly a pairing that both sides want to continue in the future. Some sort of contract discussion will be high on the agenda for this offseason.
In the meantime, the Seahawks continue to steadily acquire a lot more headroom than they traditionally carry throughout a season, and the crest of the wave is heading for a bigger move.
