Hello the. I’m a little tired this morning, having stayed awake last night for the big PlayStation game showcase. Many of us thought that Sony could give us a fairly innocuous tour of the PlayStation 5’s incoming UI update – perhaps a closer look at games on the horizon, like Death loop.
We were wrong. So wrong. We got a first glimpse of a new God of the war game, one Spider Man sequel and, whoa, a Wolverine game made by the same studio responsible for the latest adventures of web-slinger, Insomniac. We have a handful of remasters – with Unexplored 4 particularly beautiful – and, incredibly, an actual release date for Gran Turismo 7.
It was an impressive performance for PlayStation – especially after a year of mostly soft gaming events (do you even remember the all-digital E3, Microsoft’s latest Xbox showcase?)
Sony, so far, maintains its strong position for this generation of consoles. For the moment. Will Microsoft’s big cloud gaming push the rain on its parade?

We have two stories about Facebook’s collaboration on smart glasses with Ray-Ban, and our two editors draw similar conclusions. The glasses are stylish and the camera seems to take relatively decent video footage, but that Facebook connection….
You’ll need your phone nearby to do anything with the video and photos you capture, and there’s a little white LED that lights up when the glasses are recording. Yes, they’re a bit heavier and the cameras are visible up close, but from a distance they could easily pass for any other pair of Wayfarers. That’s the crux of these – they’re definitely a Facebook product, but he tries to hide it. There’s no Facebook logo on the frames, but it does on the packaging, and that’s because, well, a lot of us don’t like social media very much.
There are a lot (a lot!) Of similarities to Snapchat glasses, but the Ray-Ban stories offer built-in audio capabilities in each arm. However, it is still difficult to disconnect the love of the gadget with the company behind it.

A deep dive into how cameras still evolve.
Cameras continue to improve, but no doubt the rate of improvement has slowed. You can look at photos on decades-old DSLRs, and they look pretty good! While in some tests the sensors seem to have barely changed, there have been great advancements in noise reduction, dynamic range, and sensor read speed. Chris Schodt explains everything.

SpaceX previously accused Amazon of delaying its Starlink proposals.
Equally scathing is Amazon’s response to SpaceX’s FCC case, which accused the e-commerce giant of trying to voluntarily delay proposals for its Internet service Starlink. In an FCC filing, Amazon told the regulator that SpaceX chief Elon Musk tends to ignore government-imposed rules and regulations. The company also said SpaceX often accused any company “that dares to denounce its disregard for laws and regulations” as “anti-competitive.”
This is the latest development in a long battle with the FCC in the middle. Blue Origin, owned by Jeff Bezos, has also filed a lawsuit against NASA with the United States Federal Claims Court over the lunar lander contract it awarded to SpaceX.

The box of blocks unfolds to reveal Peach’s Castle and other levels.
