Ben Simmons’ offseason as a punching bag in NBA circles continued with shots from a few legends.
Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, appearing on Shaq’s “Big Podcast”, took turns mowing him in light of reports that Simmons wants to leave Philadelphia.
Barkley said he was disappointed Simmons took a $ 200 million contract with the Sixers when he reportedly requested a trade.

Simmons, represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, has been the subject of growing business rumors since the end of his grim playoffs. Earlier this week, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that Simmons did not see it as his responsibility to make it easier for the Sixers to offload him.
“One of the messages Ben sent back to Philly is that it’s not his job to set its business value,” Windhorst said. “It’s not his job to correct his business value or increase his business value. It’s not something that is on the menu for him and so with that, I don’t think he’s interested in come and try to change the situation. “
