Little Tina’s Wonderland, a Borderlands spin-off, received a new trailer at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase on Thursday. Players got their first taste of the fantasy-focused shooter, which looks like Borderlands in a more whimsical setting. The gearbox will release Little Tina’s Wonderland for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on March 25, 2022.
Along with the usual wacky weapons from the series, players will also get their hands on crossbows, spells, and melee weapons, albeit with their own Borderlands twist.
Gearbox initially announced Little Tina’s Wonderland to the Summer Games Fest launch stream earlier this year. The game will feature Ashly Burch in the lead role – which she originally cast in Borderlands 2. Little Tina’s Wonderland will also have a supporting cast, with Andy Samberg as Captain Valentine, Wanda Sykes as Frette the Robot, and Will Arnett as the evil dragon lord.
Little Tina’s Wonderland will also feature a new character customization system, which will allow players to create a very unique protagonist who can fit into multiple class identities. According to Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford, the game has been in development for over 10 years.
