ATHENS, Georgia. – The No.2-seeded Georgia Bulldogs enter the field on Saturday to face the UAB Blazers in the home opener of the 2021 season. Kick-off is set for 3:30 p.m. ET with ESPN2 televising the game.
Bulldogs are now 53-14 under sixth-year head coach Smart kirby, with a 32-9 record in conference. Bill Clark has once again UAB set to compete for the US Conference crown with another solid defense, which has been ranked seventh, ninth and 11th in total defense over the past three seasons. Georgia leads the all-time series 2-0 over UAB, with wins in 2003 and 2006.
While the team returns a bunch of starters from a year ago, there are a lot of new faces. Position battles have been fierce in the preseason and on Saturday the Bulldogs offered a preview of the game day depth chart for the season opener against the Blazers.
