WhatsApp finally added multi-device support earlier this summer, making it easier than ever to send messages to friends and family even if your phone isn’t nearby. This is a huge improvement over previous versions of the app, offering up to four companion devices from which to send messages, though you’re still limited to just one phone. Some bugs still need to be fixed, including deleted threads that don’t sync properly across all platforms. WhatsApp is finally working on a fix, but it might take a little while before it goes live.

As reported in the latest beta of WhatsApp, the ability to delete threads from multiple platforms is officially under development (via WABetaInfo). Once active, the app will automatically erase deleted conversations on all paired devices, as long as you are running updated software to support the feature. Unfortunately, it is not yet available for beta users, so it will be some time before there is a stable version of WhatsApp.

Unfortunately, this is not the only feature currently missing when using multiple devices. Pinned threads, followed messages, and old search history results were missing from the launch earlier this summer. Hopefully, like the deleted threads, these tools will reach WhatsApp users on all platforms later this year.
