Pros respond to Conor McGregor’s altercation with Machine Gun Kelly at MTV VMAs

It’s never a slow day in Conor McGregor’s world.

Even with no fight on the horizon as he recovers from a leg injury, McGregor found himself in a headline-grabbing brawl when he had a physical altercation with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

Photos and videos surfaced on Sunday showing McGregor and Kelly being separated by security, with TMZ reporting that the dispute started when McGregor was denied a photo with Kelly. A representative for McGregor denied this story telling and that the UFC star was responsible for instigating the incident.

McGregor had this to say in an interview with Entertainment tonight:

Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters. People who really fight. I’m definitely not fighting the little white rappers in Vanilla Ice. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him except he’s with Megan Fox.

A media outlet attempted to interview Kelly afterwards, but dismissed the question before abruptly walking away.

The MMA community had a lot to say about the situation, including “BMF” champion Jorge Masvidal, who suggested it was all a Triller set-up.
