Since the pre-reveal last month, Google has focused on showcasing the distinctive back (and sides) of its upcoming flagship phone. Now we have our first high-resolution look at the front of the Pixel 6 Pro in silver.
While we got two screenshots of the screen with last week’s announcement, the stills didn’t provide too much detail or a clean look. The Google Store landing page for the Pixel 6 was just updated this morning, the day the iPhone 13 was announced.
Along with a new image, there’s the tagline below that might be a blow to ‘think outside the box’, or at the very least allay fears of switching OS / phone:

A very good look at the front of the Pixel 6 Pro in silver follows. You get almost all of the display, but the bottom is unfortunately truncated. Looking at the top edge we see the speaker / earpiece grille in another confirmation that the speaker below the screen is gone.
Most notable is a different colored strip at the top of the phone. It’s duller than the polished aluminum rails seen left and right and is possibly for an antenna. All other phones put the 5G component / cutout on the sides, so it could just be Wi-Fi / Bluetooth. Elsewhere, there’s a pretty good look at the curved edges of the 6.7-inch display.
The actual screen displays a Material You home screen with a different clock widget than the one released with Android 12 Beta 5 and themed icons.
