PS5 SSD deals: what’s on sale

[ad_1]

It’s official: with the latest firmware update, you can now add an SSD to your PS5. But Sony’s new console won’t accept just any SSD you have. SSDs need to meet very specific metrics or else they won’t scale, might overheat, or just won’t work in your PS5. You can check out our full PS5 SSD overview for all the details.

But to clear up the confusion, all of the SSDs below are compatible with the PS5. Best of all, they’re on sale as well. We’ve separated those that come with a heat sink from those that don’t. If you get one without a heat sink, you can add your own before installing it in your PS5 – although you will need to make sure it will fit in the location. Let’s move on to the goods.

PS5 compatible SSDs with heat sink

2TB - GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 7000s SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2

Heat sink included

2TB – GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 7000s SSIE PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2

“Soon in stock.” Check the expected delivery date before ordering.

2 TB - Corsair Force Series MP600 Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD

Heat sink included

2 TB – Corsair Force Series MP600 Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD

Note: You might want to use a shorter third-party heat sink on this one, as the included one might be a bit too large to fit comfortably under the cover.

1 TB - Corsair Force Series MP600 Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD

Heat sink included

1TB – Corsair Force Series MP600 Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD

Note: You might want to use a shorter third-party heat sink on this one, as the included one might be a bit too large to fit comfortably under the cover.

Installing a heat sink isn’t difficult, but you should make sure you buy a heat sink that won’t make the SSD too thick to fit in the PS5’s expansion slot. The above SSDs are in stock, on sale, come with a heat sink, and fit into the PS5.

PS5 compatible SSDs without heatsink
